Fat Burning Hot Cocoa

I made Fat Burning Hot Cocoa last night with our Chocolate Power Boost vegan protein shake.  It was delicious.  My new favorite healthy treat!

Our Chocolate Power Boost contains valine, leucine, and isoleucine, the three branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) which support energy production within each cell, help prevent muscle loss, and support lean muscle mass.  These are all important for weight loss.

Ghee or clarified butter contains conjugated linolenic acid, a type of omega-6 fatty acid which when consumed daily not only aids in weight loss but also protects you from cancer.  The fatty acid plays a key role in improving lean body mass along with reducing body fat thereby aiding in effective weight management.

Coconut oil decreases hunger and curbs cravings.  It enhances the body’s ability to digest food and absorb nutrients so you can eat less without feeling weak or tired all the time.  It also helps burn stubborn belly fat.  Plus it’s a natural mood elevator.  A daily serving or two of coconut oil can actually help your body to maintain stable blood-sugar levels by promoting the efficient production and use of insulin.  This means your body has more glucose to give you energy and help you lose weight.

Ingredients

1 scoop Chocolate Power Boost (contact me for order information)
1 Tbsp Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
1 Tbsp Organic Ghee
2 ounces Unsweetened Original Almond Milk (GMO free)
8 ounces Hot Water

Makes 1 serving

Instructions

Heat water in sauce pan or tea pot to boiling.  Add hot water, and all other ingredients in blender and blend well.  Serve hot and enjoy!

Tip: I put the leftovers in the fridge and drank the rest today cold instead of hot. I liked it even better cold. Yum!
